Mary's 1st Word

Yesterday (while at Target, of all places!), Mary said her first word.  Today, while feeding her lunch, I was able to get it on video on my phone. I can't believe how quickly my baby is growing up!  Enjoy! :)

Damien's 1st Day of Preschool

Today Damien had his first day of preschool at Immaculate Heart of Mary. He was so excited to see his teacher, Mrs. Katzke, and meet his new friends! It will be fun to watch as Damien learns and grows each day.

  Poor little Blaise also wanted to go to school, but Mama brought Blaise and Mary to the library, so they had somewhere fun to go, too! :)

It's hard to believe that our Blaiser is already 2 years old! It's amazing how far he has come in 2 short years. He has turned out to be quite the talker, and he often has us laughing with his low voice and versatile facial expressions. He loves imitating his big brother, Damien, and helping Mary by bringing her toys and giving her kisses.

Sibling Love

It has been so fun to watch the kids interact with each other.  The big brothers are so good with their little sister, and Mary just lights up and smiles whenever the boys pay attention to her. They already are best friends, and it will be quite the trio when Mary's getting around a little better (although she's doing a pretty good job of rolling to her destination)!

Guess Who's 30!

Andy celebrated his 30th birthday on Thursday, July 12th.  Andy wanted things to be low-key and low-stress, so Andy and I went out to dinner at a restaurant of his choice the evening of his birthday, followed by trying out a local establishment for a birthday drink.
Friday the 13th wasn't unlucky for Andy! Our families came out to our house for a cook-out dinner of hamburgers, brats, and salads.  All in all, I think Andy could say that turning 30 wasn't such a bad experience.  ;)

4th of July!

It was a HOT one! I believe the temperature was up to 101 or 102, and our family spent pretty much the entire day outside.  We were with Andy's family and took the kids to their first 4th of July parade and swam at Steve, Deanna, and Camella's house--thank goodness for the pool!

Besides being Mary's first 4th of July, it was also the day that Mary finally figured out how to roll both ways (back to tummy first, then tummy to back)! We had been getting a little worried that she hadn't reached that milestone yet, but I guess she just needed to go to Uncle Steve and Aunt Deanna's house, because now she won't stop rolling! Mary also wore a swimming suit and swam for the first time!

4 Months Old!

Mary is officially 4 months old as of this past week, so I thought I'd reminisce a little and look at what all the kids looked like at the same age. Notice any similarities? :)
